Insights from MODEX Supply Chain Expo in Atlanta

With more robots than The Jetsons, MODEX 2022 truly was the largest manufacturing and supply chain expo of the year. “Wow” was the first word spoken by most people as they entered the show floor in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center.

The size of the show, along with the tens of thousands of people attending, delivered two significantly positive messages:

1

The big business of supply chain and logistics has big solutions on the way. More than 850 exhibits and 100 on-floor seminars provided thousands of solutions to current and future shipping challenges. According to MHI, the show floor spanned more than 407,000 s.f. representing all segments of the materials handling and supply chain logistics industry.

2

The pain inflicted by the pandemic will be (relatively) short-lived. In the session “Adaptations Abound,” presenters spoke of the lessons learned during the past two years, including the amazing visibility and tracking now embedded in the supply chain, the increased funding for supply chain initiatives, and the resilience provided by people in the industry.
